Shapes

The "Shapes Collage" was constructed of paper and card stock.
Below are some of 2D principals (and their results) in my "Shapes Collage"

~ I started with the background (Negative Space) as a foundation.  The black color is used to establish a base for contrast.
~ The negative space is used to support the shape of  "circle" and to create visual movement.
~ Simple shapes are layered to project depth, and to generate additional shapes (in the negative space).
~ Symmetry is used in both negative and positive space.

~ The Repetition and Uniformity of the circles (in negative space) encourage you to move towards the color in positive space.
~ Both shape and color generate movement throughout the piece.
